AI Agents are Becoming Intentional

As AI systems acquire the capacity to pursue goals, form representations of the world, and take consequential actions on behalf of humans, questions of intentionality, accountability, and legal personhood become urgent. This research track examines how legal frameworks can govern autonomous agents — from fiduciary obligations and rule-following to governance structures and interspecific law.
